Book Spotlight - This Time Tomorrow by Emma Straub

WOW!

🀩
This book was just Spectacular πŸ‘πŸΌπŸ‘πŸΌπŸ‘πŸΌ

There have been many books (and movies) about time traveling, and yet, Emma Straub wrote a unique story, by combining our natural fear of dying with the concept of altering the past in order to cheat death and live longer.

Even the happiest, most successful human being, would find something to change in their younger years if given the chance.

The possibilities are endless.

A better SAT score. Quit smoking. Avoid a certain trip. Exercise more. Eat better. Have a one-night stand with the college crush (or not). Spend more time with your loved ones…

Alice is turning 40 and still works as an Admission Officer at the same upscale private school she attended as a kid.  She starts thinking of her own life’s choices, specially now that her 73 yr old dad is in the hospital. What actions brought them here, to this moment? Could it have been any different?

This is not a science fiction book.  It actually feels like a love letter from a single parent to his daughter, a chance to help her understand how much she was loved and accept that at one point in our lives, we all lose a loved one, but their memories stay, tattooed in our minds and hearts πŸ’•.

⚠️ Warning: a box of tissues is highly recommended but not mandatory.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ My local bookclub is reading this one this month, and I can't wait to hear everyone's opinions.  This Time Tomorrow was one of my favorite reads of 2022 and one that I rated it 5 stars.
