BOOK BLURB:

Feyre survived Amarantha's clutches to return to the Spring Court—but at a steep cost. Though she now has the powers of the High Fae, her heart remains human, and it can't forget the terrible deeds she performed to save Tamlin's people.

Nor has Feyre forgotten her bargain with Rhysand, High Lord of the feared Night Court. As Feyre navigates its dark web of politics, passion, and dazzling power, a greater evil looms—and she might be key to stopping it. But only if she can harness her harrowing gifts, heal her fractured soul, and decide how she wishes to shape her future—and the future of a world cleaved in two.

With more than a million copies sold of her beloved Throne of Glass series, Sarah J. Maas's masterful storytelling brings this second book in her seductive and action-packed series to new heights.

MY THOUGHTS:

Wow!
Holy Fury Madness! I just finished this book and already downloaded the next one because I MUST read it NOW!

As much as I enjoyed the first book of this series, #ACOTAR, I felt it was a bit slow and it lacked action, which this one is full of.  We are introduced to some new characters that are extremely likable, funny, and give the story that "best friend" feeling. Feyre’s character also grows in this book, as she learns the extent of her powers and becomes the heroine we’ve been waiting for.  And Rhysand, the High Lord of the Night Court, finally reveals his true character and intentions, which made him my favorite character!

Everything in this book is bigger and better.  The love scenes are high on the steamy meter.  I mean, HIGH.  The warriors are stronger.  The battles are written with such detail that made my imagination go wild and free (think Game of Thrones battle style).  Sarah J Maas masterminded every detail in this book, from every magic spell to little hints...like the injustice in a world where females are not allowed to be warriors because their purpose is to breed... oops.

#ACOMAF is a FANTASTIC read.

One last thing: I was lucky enough to attend an event last weekend and met "the" Sarah J Maas (she signed my book) and I was impressed by how nice she was (even after a long day of signing books).

“To the Stars who listen - and the dreams that are answered”.

“When you spend so long trapped in darkness, Lucien,
you find that the darkness begins to stare back.”

  2. Great review. Not sure it would be for me though as I can't stand Game of Thrones.
